"After a week of overcooked seafood this was a refreshing change..excellent, perfectly cooked very fresh shells in a tomato garlic sauce for a very favorable price. A nice little amuse boulevard of salt-chid bandade. Kitchen special was a panco baked cod, again perfectly cooked (as in, simply cooked, fresh and juicy. Rib eye was cooked as with a rich demi."
Chantarelles from Norris Point is a suitable bar to a cocktail after work, and sit with friends or alone, and you can look forward to the scrumptious typical seafood cuisine.

"We would have given this a 5 star review. I feel the wait and there was a wait was worth it. The food though was incredible. Absolutely the best food I’ve had in Newfoundland!"

"We have tried many things from the menu, but this trip was hanged to the Hamburgers who are excellent. The fish is fresh and bought locally so that the fish and chips are also great."

"This inn was possibly one of our most popular places where we stayed during our two week trip to Newfoundland. So much thought and care were obviously taken when it was recently renovated a few years ago to relax this into a perfect place and after a long trip or a day of exploring Gros Morne. The spacious lounge, bar, restaurant and cosy rooms were all perfectly clean and comfortable with many places to enjoy the view of the Bay of Bonne. Great hot and cold breakfast. Free laundry facilities available. Our room had a walk in the shower, a Keurig coffee machine and fridge. Wifi worked well. It was a two-minute drive to the Gros Morne Discovery Center, 10 minutes to Table Lands Hike and 15 minutes to the Green Garden Trailhead. What brings Bonne Bay Inn above the top for us was our host Darlene (and her lovely dog, Bergie! Darlene was the best host and one of the warmest, friendly people we met throughout our journey. So friendly, helpful and chatty, without being intrusive, she really made our trip! We wish we had spent more than one night at the Bonne Bay Inn and walk out of our way to find out how to stay there when we revisit Newfoundland!"

"Ok so after a full day of hiking in the park hubby and I were pretty hungry. We drove the 12 minutes from Rocky Harbour to Neddies Point and dined at The Black Spruce. This was the view from our table. We had: potato leek soup, mussels, beet salad, and the daily catch entree which happened to be lobster which came with rice and veg. The portions were reasonable, but not huge. Fresh baked bread was provided for the table. Everything was delicious and well cooked. I’ve never enjoyed lobster so much. We also sampled dessert (cashew tart, strawberry ice cream . The desserts were more sharing size but we ate them anyways : We finished with specialty coffees which hilariously arrived in mugs about the size of a beer stein. The room is lovely and the service was excellent. We had a reservation I would be surprised if you could get in without one. If your trip budget includes splashing out on a fancy meal in the area, this would be a great choice."

"Very cute restaurant. You are greeted by the owner who is so enthusiastic and happy. She has her opening spiel where she tells about the history of the restaurant, which is cute. She is also very accommodating and helpful. Food is well presented and fresh. Unfortunately it was a little bit small. Ie crabs didn't come with any starch. I'm not a big bread or potatoes fan normally, but you need something to fill you up since crab isn't the most filling. However, overall great experience :"
