"How would I like my steak? Chicago-style. What’s my favorite steak; it’s a Chicago Style Steak. A Chicago style steak refers to how the steak is cooked. Charred on the outside and to order on the inside, and this makes all the difference in the world. This is truly a taste of heaven. It goes without saying that not every restaurant is going to have the proper grill to make a Chicago Style Steak, and not every restaurant is going to have a chef that can pull of a Chicago Style Steak to perfection but Onyx can. Your knife will cut thru this steak like it is butter. The sides are great as well; try the creamed corn with bacon and the sautéed veggies. For an appetiser there is a lot to choose from but if you are feeling adventurous try the tempura bacon with maple chive sour cream. YUMMY. It goes without saying the quality of the food is superb, as well they have a great wine and cocktail list. Next time you feel like a steak I suggest Onyx, you won’t be sorry.<br/>If you’re not looking for a steak dinner but just drinks and appies try Onyx's new lounge menu, it as something for everyone. It runs from 4- 6 unless the Canucks are playing, and then it goes all night. As well they have daily drinks specials."

"This place popped up as meeting all our criteria for a relaxing dinner with seafood. We had the Del Mar volcano bowl and a couple of dark Modelo lager. This is the first place I’ve found in Canada that has the volcano bowls and so I’ll definitely be back again! The Del Mar was outstanding and I expect the others will be too!"

"Happy with food service a bit abrupt but ok. Disappointed at greeting because the server was quite brazen asking how long we were going to stay! I think there could have been a more polite way to say we are quite busy today so your table is only available for an hour, is that okay?"
