"I enjoyed everything I ate from this restaurant tonight. I had the honey chicken which in most chinese restaurants around town is deep fried to a crisp, but here it was fried yet soft. A welcome change. The fried rice was cooked well and tasted better than most I've had around Ballarat. The winner for me however was the Char Shiu (Chinese Roast Pork) entree. It had an immediate delicious BBQ pork smell and tasted amazing! Will definitely be back."

"WAS SERVED 1 LAMB SHANK WHEN THE CUSTOMER BESIDE ME HAD THE SAME ORDER AND WAS GIVEN TWO BIGGER LAMB SHANKS ON THE PLATE. I ordered lamb shanks which arrived in a form of one shank and half of the plate was full of mashed potatoes. When i complained about getting 1 lamb shank instead of two as it was case before, i got an answer that the one lamb shank was the weight of the two combined together. It was a lie as i had that meal before and the lamb shanks where much bigger and there were 2 of them served on the plate. "Best chips in town!! Great fish and wraps yet strangely enough we never go here for the burgers! <br/ Give the salads a miss though. The ingredients are all there but there has been no thought go into putting it together. <br/"

"If you would ask me last month, I’d say they are one of the best pizza places in Ballarat. But after last night, I’m sorry to say that they’re degrading and pizzas are not the same at all! I used to be a fan of their bbq beef pizza which ordered last night too. But it was just worse ! They didn’t even put BBQ sauce in the pizza. Quantity of meats also got very less. Really disappointed! I might try one more time, if it’s still bad, I’m not gonna continue my visit to the shop."

"We travel all the way from Queensland to have a Souvlaki here. Always try to visit a few times while we're in the area. Never despise and always tasty. We had milk shakes this time and it was good to see the metal containers again and they were filled up. So if you love Souvlaki like we wouldn't go past this place."

"In a hurry for a quick bite recently, with an appointment looming within 15 minutes, I ventured inside the Howitt St Wendouree MacDonald's.The placed thronged with people. Famillies and the elderly in search of quick, cheap, reliable fare.I ordered an "Aussie Burger". Angus beef and beetroot, lettuce, tomato and tomato sauce between a polystyrene-esque bun. The bread you eat when you are not eating bread. Chips were fine, sorry, I mean't fries, and the standard coffee was less than standard.The meal reminded me of those I've eaten at other MacDonald's. I wondered why I didn't take just a few minutes longer and headed to Red Bird Cafe up the street.If you are into MacDonald's food and decor you will not be disappointed!If, as I did you wanted a clean "bathroom" as much as anything to eat, you will not be disappointed either.I may not particularly enjoy Macca's, but thousands of others do. I still think that the Ballarat Hamburger Cart, does the very best hamburgers in town and is a Ballarat institution, founded by Americans stationed here during the First World War. They wanted great traditional hamburgers and the Hamburger Cart, even serves them in standard, rather than MacDonald's style sugary rolls!"
