"We (an older middle-aged couple) stayed there in 2018 8. July in the late evening. About 20 guests were on the terrace. The only waiter led a attentive and professional service to his best. After we sat, it took only 1 minute to get the menu cards. 5 minutes later we got our drinks and we could order the dishes. About half an hour later our dinner was served: wild boar ragout, roasted dumplings and cranberries in an apple halve. Ox cheeks, tiny fried potato dumplings with rosemary, sauteed cabbage and onion jam. My mother (born 1922) or my grandmother (born 1892) could not have been better! Sure that all served foods were "not freshly prepared, but as the German proverb says, "You should have the church in the village '. To get good quality at reasonable prices, you have to make concessions ... When I look at this and all the circumstances, I can forgive from heart 5 stars. And I don't understand any negative reviews about the service or the 'Schnitzel' a.s.o. Perhaps these people were in this restaurant at the wrong time, or they have no idea at all about REAL German dishes, cooking, habits and qualities. Born in 1962, in my youth it was common to also enjoy warmed food made fresh before the day. And after, for example, 4 days, day after day of stew, the rage a.s.o. tasted much better. How could a nation have survived about 2,000 years and more than a hundred wars without malice? I believe today some of my "joint" compatriots actually have many luxury problems."
