The village Grill Essen last night was AWESOME. I had a very delicate prime rib with vegetables of the day. I could have eaten the vegetables they were fabulous. My waitress recommended a very smooth red wine to go to my meal that supplemented the meal. My waitress was over everything. Everyone was friendly and helpful. What Bob Kato doesn't like about Village Grill:
The service was what one would expect ..but as for the food ..my stuffed chicken was a rolled up ball that was cooked untill it was dried up and difficult to cut ..my wife's chicken was so over cooked that it couldn't even be chewed...for a place as expansive as this one ...the food should be top notch and it just wasn't View all feedback.
The trout should die. The smeared sweet potatoes were very good and the green beans with bacon were the best I ever had! Bravo!
The food was so good!! I got parmesan encrusted chicken with sauteed spinach. It was delicious! I don't usually order dessert, but I saw the turtle cheesecake and just had to try it. But our server recommended the cashew butter cream pie, so I got that and loved it! I would make the trip from Anderson again to eat there! It's worth the drive!
You absolutely cannot go wrong here! Food and service are excellent, prices are great. It's a short drive from Greenwood and well worth it. I love this place......
The Belmont Inn recommended this restaurant. It was great! Had the best wedge salad I have ever had. Delicious prime rib, and an amazing dessert!
We were staying at Calhoun Falls State Park and we didn't have any idea where to eat. We googled and found this place in Abbeville. The atmosphere was nice and the food was excellent!!!
