Congratulations to everyone who got the club back open today, a great effort. Thanks to cyclone Debbie for finally doing something about the carpet, the bare concrete is a vast improvement, it actually looks great, if we can find away to deaden the noise it should stay. "We had the pleasure of dining here at the Anchor Bar restaurant recently on our Airlie Beach holiday and we can only say what a relaxing and delightful experience. A beautifully arranged area for diners with an awesome view and easy access. The burger was beautifully prepared and the chips were cooked perfectly. The Ribs were just a treat and the smokiness was nothing short of impeccable. The bar area is well situated and is suitably stocked with a myriad of resplendent beverages. "Food was average for the price. The Irish girl that sat us was lovely so the stars are for her. The older waiter at the end was so rude when we asked for the bill. Pointed at the desk for us to pay. I have hurt my back and had to stand with a walking stick while he pulled up the bill instead of just printing it out and paying from the table like any other restaurant.
