"Have they ever been getting a raw pizza? No? I don't, either, until I order from here. the middle pizza was completely smokey, not even close. it didn't even look, so I'm not sure how someone thought it was ready to stack and send. the calzon was also completely drying and had not even the right ingredients. I ordered one of their menu items, no custom request, and only one of the 5 to 6 items was correct. I don't think there's one here."

"We just had an exceptional meal at Sweet Red Bistro. We were trying to decide what to do for our anniversary...do we go to the coast, do we go to our regular haunts, and I turned to yelp to see what else was there. The reviews for Sweet Red Bistro sounded interesting so we thought we'd try it. What a great choice!!! Everything was excellent. Sauces were great, nuanced and creative. Wine list had many nice selections. The dessert we ordered was just terrific. And the icing on the cake, or crème de la crème was two complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate the occasion. What a class act. We will certainly be back. Thank you for making our anniversary special."

"My husband and I came here for the first time shortly after moving to Albany. We were celebrating our anniversary, which we mentioned at some point, and were surprised with a special desert (like a Hungarian cheesecake) at the end of our meal. So nice! I was really bummed out to read the article that they closed, two days after the fact. I wish we would have known earlier so we could have gone again. The food in the buffet was so good, I was honestly disappointed that I could only manage to try a small bit of everything before I got full. Putting out bite size portions of their desserts was a wise move; I could try something without worrying about wasting food if I didn't like it. Spoiler: that didn't happen. I liked everything. One of the sisters came by our table to chat and it was really nice. It felt like I was in my auntie's kitchen getting spoiled. I'm going to have to track down a copy of their cookbook and try recreating some of the dishes at home. But I hope they transition to catering or continue with the cooking classes in some shape or form. I know the pandemic hit them hard and it's not really anyone's fault, but they're the reason half of Oregon even knows Albany exists. They deserve to continue their business until THEY want to shut it down. They are an institution. Thank you for the wonderful anniversary dinner, Novak family. I'm only sorry I couldn't celebrate with you more than once!"
