Popped in for a quick drink and a light lunch after recommendations from others. The bar has a nice feel and an excellent range of well kept real ales. I had a cheese and pickle toastie which was tasty and excellent value for money. The...girl behind the bar was also super friendly. It's been a long time since we'd been back to the Lakes. We'd visited the Riverside the last time and not liked so how we allowed ourselves to visit again I don't know. Possibly because of the time distance and coming at it from a...different direction. The soup was far too sweet, the roll out of the freezer and burned in the heating process.
