"They are the only Thai restaurant in town (that I know of) that doesn't put fish sauce in their amazing pad thai. Having a place I can eat one of my favorite dishes in spite of my fish allergy really means a lot to me. Plus their food is fantastic."

"Prairie Meadows is awesome. We have watched some of the horse races. We watched Richie Lee and Fab 50's in May and Rocky Raccoon Band last night. Tribute to The Beatles. They were amazing. Loved both bands. Do watch Richie a lot. He is Buddy Holly."

"Really good and accommodated our large party. We had reservations and would recommend you do as well. They are very busy. Food was great, but a little refinement would make me feel a little better about parting with 30-50/plate. If you want a steak, the Big Steer is not going to disappoint!"

"Just an amazing place! Lots of fun stuff to look at all around. Always fun people to hang out with. My favorite part...the best selection of craft beers around! With a killer brewery scene in town it's hard to beat the breweries but this place takes the cake! I highly recommend to beer enthusiasts."

"They're drinks are always way over priced. Tonight was 6 for a jack and coke. The prices here are never consistent, they seem to charge whatever they feel like. The bartenders always have some sort of attitude when you come in after midnight, unfortunately this is when I get off work. They are always trying to close early. And for what they charge for drinks you'd think they'd at least have a decent bathroom. I'm all for dive bars. But this is a dive at best with downtown prices. They only thing this bar has going for it is that the pool table seems to be unoccupied most of the time. And yes you will be covered in chalk if you're not careful."

"Isn't Des Moines a French name? So no surprise (ha! Baru 66 is a quick trip to Bordeaux. The French Onion Soup outdoes Les Halles, the Duck Breast is up there with the Tour d'Argent, and be sure to save room for the (if they have it Cherry Clafouti because there is nothing like it, anywhere. In fact, all that's missing is a TSA patdown and having your luggage show up a day late."

"Ate here before going to an August Burns Red Concert and it was my first time ever having zombie burger. My girlfriend kept telling me how good the food was here, and so I thought I would try it and she was completely right. The burgers here are really really good, and are some of the best I have ever had."
