"I was there yesterday. Same old thing. Overcooked chicken! I ordered the original recipe. They cook it until the secret herbs and spices become black. Nothing golden about their chicken. I won't be going back. By the way, same bad results from the last three visits!"

"This place has local ambiance and vibes from the time you see it from the street. While on a business trip we were looking for a place to have an ice cold beer and good food. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the patrons, they are all locals and a bunch of people on a business dinner. That, to me, was exactly what was needed. The entrance is on the side instead of the side facing the street. Once you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff and taken to your table. The place is nothing fancy but clean and the decor is a throwback and the restaurant is filled with families enjoying a great meal. The beer selection was pretty good and the size of frozen mug starts at XL, or so it looked. The steaks are all very good quality, rivaling many of the big city steakhouses but at a much lower price point. This is a place that I would come to every time I am in town. If you like a low key, friendly place with great steaks at a price that is quite affordable, Fred's is the place"

"Best breakfast spot in town! if you want to know what’s going on in Altus, spend a Sunday morning in here and you’ll meet some of the town’s most interesting people. Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. It’s my favorite place to be on the weekend when I’m in town."
