Restaurant closed but they opened as we had booked the residencies hal board. Just the two of us having very good chicken, a wonderful grilled whitefish, accompanied by creamy yellow potatoes and possibly the most flavorful tomato and sweet onion salad that I have ever had. They catered to our every need despite the obvious inconvenience. Over 150 restaurant reviews including Michelin stars but would call this very g... View all feedback.

Hadn't been in portugal for a while so went for lunch with my friend. Nether wanted a huge meal so we shared the squid. I have to say it was the most chewy I've ever tasted, Wasn't nice. Very clean, nicely presented, great service with a good portion of food served.
Great restaurant with gentle service and nice ambiance
Even though this restaurant was recommended I somehow couldn't put my finger on what was missing! Lack of atmosphere or warmth and the Portuguese warm, open welcoming embrace was lacking! The owner, mr. Bras himself did pop over to say hello which was appreciated. My roasted Portuguese Cod fish with garlic, squashed local new potatoes was tasty and well presented. The Flan/Caramel pudding was okay and I've had much better. My starter was the chef's Turnip soup which was very tasty. My meal cost me €20.00 which for a village restaurant is rather steep.... To be honest, I came away feeling quite disappointed and I won't be back unfortunately... There are so many amazing local restaurants in Portugal and this one certainly left me totally deflated in terms of welcome, warmth, charm, atmosphere and service.. Apologies Mr. Bras but I've had much better Portuguese cuisine and local restaurants meals whilst I've been in central Portugal for the last 4 weeks or so...
Hotel: incredible value for a private room, cheaper than some hostels on the Camino. Restaurant: dinner was €12 for soup, main, salad and half litre of local wine. Only choice between meat or fish, but was decent. €30 for dinner and a room is amazing.
Tivemos uma refeição maravilhosa aqui, comemos como um rei!
