"Visited last Wednesday. The waitress had to keep coming back as she would only take parts of our order then disappear again, possibly new but didn’t seem to have a clue. Asked for steak rare and it came out over done no less than medium. Asked for peppercorn sauce and it had no peppercorns in but onion instead and tasted odd. Was only given one steak knife as they ran out (table of 2). Hoping it was an off day because usually enjoy eating here."

"Book a room for the night and treat yourself to dinner, bed and breakfast, we were here twice now and it is beautiful both paintings. the rooms are located at the river banks, so they wake up to a beautiful landscape view, there are some beautiful walks to enjoy during the day. at dinner we shared the bark, which was extremely good and their cloby chips were delicious. the place has such a beautiful atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, especially if they have 4 pfoten. they even gave us dog contracts to take the dogs home. there is a good selection of gins in the offer and the wines/champagne through the glass are all great. her breakfast is also fantastic, there is a good choice of options, her traditional cooked breakfast was there in terms of quality and she serve kucks fizz with fresh orange juice (it was my birthday, it would have been rude, not!"

"Absolutely wonderful place to stay and eat. Everyone was so friendly and the service was great. The food was good, with a wide choice of dishes, only sorry we couldnt stay for sunday lunch. The rooms were spotlessly clean Really dog friendly (as opposed to dog tolerant) especially as we have 3 2 large standard Poodles and a Cockerpoo and often find it hard to find a place that will take 3 dogs. Really recommend a stay. Rooms: The room in which we stayed was large, with a King size bed. Absolutely spotless. The bathroom was large and designed to accommodate disabled people and is equipped with a wet area shower. Nearby activities: If you like walking there are loads of trails and walks very close. If you have dogs there is a field next to the Inn where you can let your dog have a run with no concerns about running on the road (not that there is much traffic anyway)."
