"Have wanted to visit for some time and we recently had an opportunity. We visited for breakfast and really enjoyed our visit. I had the 8 item Full English which was great and my wife had pancakes and maple syrup. Her only problem was she didn’t have much maple syrup as I think they were running short. Service was excellent and really friendly. Excellent value for money. We will visit again when the opportunity arises. We mentioned our visit to our daughter who lives in Amesbury and she then went the next day with her husband. She also thought the pancakes were excellent. All in all we would recommend visiting."

"Had a lovely meal here, food was very well cooked and presented and everyone enjoyed the food. But, boy is the service slow. We arrived and were shown to our table and told that they would be back shortly to take a drinks order later they came back. Another minutes to come back and order food and even more time to check or see if we wanted anything else. We only had the chance to order drinks all the time we were in so it cost them a few quits in lost drink orders."

"Brilliant service and friendly staff! Highly recommend! Rachel made our night! Me and my friends went to the hungry horse to watch late night football and enjoy some drinks along with some snack l! Definitely will be making this our local pub! Overall amazing"

"Four of us (adults) visited on a Thursday evening in January. Service was very good. The menu was slightly reduced due to a temporary problem with the supply of some fresh fish from their suppliers. The waitress was quite honest about it (only a few...dishes were affected) and I was actually pleased to hear that they had refused frozen fish from the fishmonger as the chef insists only in fresh fish. I ordered a risotto main. I have to say it was rather salty which was a shame as the underlying flavours and consistency were good. The other three mains were all excellent as were the desserts. There appeared to be a good outdoor area with outside bar. A lovely, clean pub serving decent quality fresh food. We will definitely visit again, probably in the warmer weather so we can check out the garden area."

"We come here 7 or 8 times a year. Great food, loads of options for meat eaters and vegetarians and friendly staff. The food can sometimes take a little longer, but with BYOB and a great atmosphere, it's never been an issue! Definitely worth a visit, but make sure to book at the weekend!"
