"Good bakery items however I have stopped ordering here because I ordered cupcakes for my sister before. Twice now I have called ahead to order my own for my birthday the same exact cupcakes. The first time I was told they don't offer that flavor. The second time, my order was taken for a set time/day, I was quoted a price and when I arrived, to my disappointment the woman told me they had nothing for me. When I asked if she didn't mind taking my order while I was there to have it ready the next day, she acted like it was an inconvenience picking them up for my desired time (SAME TIME OFFERED BEFORE) because it was the same time the decorator arrives. All I wanted was some lousy sprinkles. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It takes two minutes out of your day to help a team member or AT LEAST OFFER. Especially when my experiences here have been the way they are. She then let me know once I told her my desired flavor that they don't offer this.1) Why was my order taken and quoted if they knew what flavor I wanted and they knew they could not do it?2) Why couldn't someone call to let me know it was not going to be ready due to the flavor?3) I find this extremely unprofessional for any business and will not be recommending anyone I know here. It's a sad shame."

"I used to visit this restaurant years ago and didn't have the opportunity to look back for a while because I was out of the state, and I thought it had closed for a while. I was really glad that I returned to him and that the menu still had some of my old favorites that are not always easy to find. It has a beautiful diverse menu with some foods that you simply cannot always get, or at least not that taste like homemade; for example chicken paprikash with real dumplings. The Paprikash tastes like they might add tomato what I don't do at home, but it was good. The prices are not bad at all. I think our bill came under $45 for three adults and a toddler. I liked the 50's diner decor that it has better than the new look, but it is now more open and spacious. An article we had a problem with was the spinach cake. The taste was good, but there wasn't much of it. The waitress explained that they were made home by a supplier, and that for whatever reason this batch had filled very little into it, but she took it out of the menu without any problems and did not make excuses. I appreciated honesty and customer support. I definitely go back. The humus is also very good! Visited October 2015"

"This was one of our favorite destinations for lunch. On our most recent trip from Akron to Vermillion for lunch we had a very bad experience with the owner who was insulting and rude. After a nice lunch and good service by our waitress I was exiting the bench seat and ripped my pants on an exposed nail. When I brought this to the attention of the owner he disregarded my concerns and never offered to compensate me for my ripped pants. When I persisted he swore at me drove off in his VW van, stopped in the middle of the street, jumped out and threw $40 at me; again hurling insults. This was my last time at the Woodstock Cafe!"
