I was unable to visit this restaurant for a long time because I live 20 minutes away and work from home. They are only open during mid-day most of the year. However, when I finally had the opportunity to dine there, the food was absolutely delicious. View all feedback.
What Idell Conroy doesn't like about Art of eating deli:
I was looking forward to trying this deli, but was disappointed. We stopped in for sandwiches for a picnic lunch. We ordered the Mexican wrap and the ham and Swiss on raisin bread. The Mexican wrap had kind of a nasty flavor like it had...too much chili powder or cumin or something. Or maybe it was Nova Scotia’s version of what Mexican food should taste like. This is a deli with a big city menu of creative options. From the Montreal smoked meat to the Mexican wrap everyone can find something to get excited about. I had the felafel wrap and it was delicious - the crowning glory was when they finished it in the grill press and the hummus transformed into a smooth creamy filling. The 2 eleven year olds with me raved about the grilled cheese sandwiches. Not your ordinary ones these were made with homemade bread and sharp cheddar.Service was fast friendly and genuine. Love this spot and will definitely go back next time we're in town. PS the coffee (flat white) was as good as Starbucks
The food at the Art of Eating Deli is fantastic. The wraps are exactly what you will be hoping for when you walk through the door. For dessert I am especially fond of the Gluten Free peanut butter cookies. The staff of course is fantastic, Fran and Charlene will always bring a smile while you wait.
Nice welcoming atmosphere and super menu that changes daily and with the seasons. Best of all, they source their ingredients locally when they can. Try it, you'll like it.
