"Ate here on impulse after viewing a few restaurants in Newbury. Happy we did, excellent service and helpful to us who knew little about Japanese food. Would strongly recommend it."

"Wow! Thank you Charlotte for making my birthday so special. From the sublime steak to the apple crumble and custard (big compliments to the chef) and the complimentary pinot. It was superb. Would highly recommend. We shall be back, with friends in tow. "We had brunch at the restaurant on a Saturday with my husband and did not feel restricted due to social distancing. The tables are well spaced out and the team was very careful throughout the service. Food was lovely too. I would recommend this friendly gastro pub and will visit again to try the pancakes next time."

"Really this place visited for brunch on Sunday, 20th august 2017. eating was absolutely beautiful, we both had the Asian garnalate that was full of taste and so fresh. we stayed for a glass of wine and a disc of the most amazing carrot cake when we felt so chilled. the staff, the service and the atmosphere could not have been better and the intention was also simply beautiful. will definitely be visited again. Thank you!"
