"This place is so cozy and it smells amazing as you wall through the front door. We stopped in for a quick drink and app since we were seeing a show in the same plaza. It was full inside when we arrived. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The bartender was efficient and friendly. Drinks were made well. The calamari was delicious. The marinara sauce had a really nice flavor (a little thicker than we normally have) but it paired well. We will definitely be back for dinner in the future."

"I read some good reviews about Basil's and have always wanted to try the chicken. I finally convinced my wife to accompany me there for dinner.The first sign of upcoming disappointment was the lack of people in the establishment, the next was mounds of cooked chicken just waiting on the grill.My wife ordered a three piece chicken meal with corn and macaroni cheese for the sides. I ordered the half chicken meal with Spanish rice and fresh vegetables for my sides. The main host was very friendly and explained all of the menu choices. The rest of the personnel were pleasant and accommodating.The chicken was the driest chicken that I've ever had in my life. My wife agreed. The Actual flavor of the chicken was pretty bland. It's sad that the best part of the meal was the sides. The Spanish rice was tasty with nice pieces of onion in it. The pita included was moist and fresh. The broccoli, although bland was cooked perfectly. My wife had similar thoughts about her sides.Having enjoyed rotisserie chicken at a local chain, Perhaps my wife and I were spoiled for tasty, well-seasoned, moist chicken. Unfortunately, Basil's did not live up to their hype. We will never go to Basil's again."
