"Our party of three ate at Persephone on Saturday night. We were promptly seated and given a bottle of water, and delicious warm focaccia and olive oil with balsamic vinegar. shortly after that, our waiter came over to introduce himself, and give us menus. He returned a little while later to take our orders, including a drink order. Our salads were soon delivered by the busboy, followed after a good interval by our entrees. Everything was delicious. Our waiter delivered the beverages we'd ordered, except for my partner's requested beer. He told us they were out of that and provided a substitute, which he told my partner he would exchange if it wasn't to his taste. Halfway through our meal, our waiter returned and noticed my partner hadn't drunk his beer. He offered to bring another, and my partner agreed. We also asked for more water. We never saw our waiter again until 10-15 minutes after we were done eating. My partner no longer wanted the beer, but we still wanted water, which we again asked for. Our waiter offered us the dessert menu at this time, and since it was our son's birthday, we ordered a dessert to share. When we were done with dessert, ourwaiter brought our bill, which didn't include the beer order. The food was excellent as usual. Our waiter was friendly and pleasant, but not very present. Not getting his beer was a only minor disappointment for my partner, but the lack of water was a real drag for all three of us. I don't know if Persephone was short staffed, or if something else was going on, and this wasn't anything that will prevent us from returning next time, but our experience did not deliver the amazing experience on all fronts we've come to expect. Instead, we got a well prepared and presented meal in a lovely space with mediocre, at best, service."

"Charming place, friendly staff. Has potential to be a cozy hiding place in forests, but management must improve cleanliness overall. The Belushi Burger let me look for the advertised blue cheese and bacon. I found the beer selection Top Notch, offers some of the worlds best sours from no other than the Russian river brewery. If it's gonna be for the beers again, you could skip to food."
