"We were in Arcis sur Aube on a stopover when heading south down the A26. We didn't book but this wasn't a problem as the restaurant was pretty quiet at 7.30pm on a Thursday (admittedly in January) and totally dead by 8.45. Our starters were really very good (Goats cheese salad and poached eggs with a fruits de mer sauce) but the main courses less so. My steak was tough and my wife ordered Andouillette, a local sausage which is probably an acquired taste. We would probably go again though and the restaurant is well placed on the river so likely to be quite pretty during the daytime."
