What ladygourmet likes about The Westward At Crinan:
Langoustines are amazing, the fish dishes are delicious. Staff very helpful friendly. What a fabulous view out across the sea. It’s busy so if staying at the hotel make sure you book in advance. View all feedback.

What Peter P doesn't like about The Westward At Crinan:
Cool in decor and atmosphere. Beware the yougest staff. The Lloyd Loom chairs of various style can be uncomfortable. Breakfast, all served is quite poor. The Fresh Orange juice is not fresh but cheap. Dinner in this room can be dull too. View all feedback.

"Quite a nice cafe, but overpriced This is quite a nice cafe but they have put their prices up quite a but recently and in my opinion it's a bit of a rip off We had a couple of breakfasts, think it was 12 odd quid. Even a sandwich is about £8. They've done away with their soup and a sandwich deal so now if you want that it's £5 for soup and then an extra £8 for a sandwich. It's more like hotel prices than a wee local cafe. We used to go quite a lot but won't be going back, it's just too expensive, although i appreciate their costs may have gone up and they have to charge this to make ends meet."

"On a sunny day there is nothing nicer than eating outside in this spacious grassy rural backwater. Equally nice if you want to eat inside. This is like being on holiday even though we live close by. Excellent menu with lots of choice. Good children's...menu. Great beer from Fyne Ales. For children there is a small playpark that has been recently improved. Great value. The grandchildren love this place and it is their first choice for eat out lunch. Sadly only open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Well done Barn. Best to book but never overly busy at lunchtime so you won't feel you are competing for space. Nice walks nearby."

"Lovely little cafe located down a lane behind the Main Street. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. There is MORE THAN ONE CHOICE I had the delicious lemon hummus with pitta bread and salads, my husband had the chilli non carne with nachos and vegan cheese. There is also a chickpea burger (which is very tasty and home made, We had that on a different visit) and the soup is often suitable for vegans, Best of all there is DESSERT three different warm sponge puddings, lemon, chocolate or coffee. Usually a flapjack as well. There is also soya milk if you fancy a coffee. Great wee cafe offering a good choice for vegans. Makes us so happy as we live nearby and run a vegan B B"

"We dined here today with family for a birthday celebration and enjoyed great hospitality from the friendly staff. The food was lovely too and the setting with views across a picture perfect"
