Amazing prices, decent selection. Got a apple fritter that had perfect amount of apples in it. 3 donuts for 3.50 one was a apple fritter. I almost broke my wrist grabbing my wallet so fast! should have started with its CASH ONLY. Trust me you won't need that 20 dollar bill thou for here. View all feedback.
What Harley Harding doesn't like about Father's Donuts:
Not 24 hours. Edit: Going back through my reviews, I think context is important here. Online it said 24 hours, the door said 24 hours, the open light was on… nobody was there. No cars in the parking lot, I waited quite a long time. This is the reason for my poor review. They apparently chose that day to no longer be 24 hours, which is interesting. View all feedback.
Best donuts and best prices. Too bad they only accept cash but, I’m okay with that. Definitely recommended to others best donuts that make my day every day either in the morning or night.
Cash only!Let me start with I 'm not a donut gal. The only fried thing I enjoy is potatoes in any form, maybe an occasional (once every three years or so)onion ring craving. Fried dough? Nah. BUT, much like hiking stay with me the concept of donuts is appealing. That being said, far too many donut places are getting waaaaay to fancy with their goods, driving the price of a basic donut from around .33/ea to well over $1. Ridiculous! Yes, inflation, yadda yadda yadda, but c 'mon, we all know, when done in large batches, the price of fried dough over $1 a piece is still not justifiable. SO, while running some early morning Saturday errands, I found Father 's Donuts nearby and a 5 star Yelp review. Score! A good old fashioned, strip mall donut shop, previous signage indicates it was a Fostar 's Donuts at some point. $9.99 A DOZEN!!!! Simple, staple, working man donuts not a Fruity Pebble, nor bacon strip, nor crushed Oreo to be found here. Cakey crumb donuts, powdered, glazed, twists, old fashioned, jelly filled, maple bars you get what I 'm putting down, right?Basic donuts, basic, fair pricing, lovely owner, with a big smile and a crowd eating at the counter inside that look like they may be daily fixtures at this neighborhood spot. While hubby proclaimed his glaze and twist donuts an enthusiastic 'YUMMY! ', I thought they were good and hit the spot. Again, not a donut/fried dough gal. I seem to have a sensitivity to cooking oil. I especially DO NOT care for 85C bakery goods because I can taste the soy oil yuck! Father 's donuts had a mild oil after taste. Not greasy. Fluffy, light and tasty, but I definitely picked up the oil. I 'm pretty sure that 's me. BUT, for the price, variety, friendly demeanor, and an extra 6 donut holes thrown in the box, Father 's gets a solid 4 stars.Cheers!CC
This restaurant is excellent and more affordable than some others.
