"We enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere at the front of the railway hotel. our dish was perfectly boiled lamb snell, slightly juicy pink on the inside, with a beautiful crisp crumbs that were paired with a delicious mushroom sauce. the cajun chicken burger was fresh and...also delicious with a slightly roasted bungalow and embroidered with light and crispy wobble rings and chips. the fish and chips originate from the daily special table and were well presented, generously in portion and cooked perfectly crunchy as if they were bought from the main menu. the staff was friendly and friendly and we all enjoyed our lunch."

"Pizza was average, I opened up the box to find uncooked dough and chicken, returned this and had it replaced without chicken, the new pizza was still undercooked. Average, wouldn’t eat here again."

"An excellent bakery cafe. Great sourdough, very good coffee and reliable meals. The outdoor courtyard is cosy year round and good for dogs. Service can occasionally be slow, especially if busy. Today I ordered jam and got marmalade instead. Given I don’t eat marmalade and it isn’t jam, this was disconcerting, but a minor inconvenience when the croissant and the coffee were good. Overall it is fabulous, a bit of a local institution and best for coffee by far."

"Visited for Sunday lunch on a cold winters day. Enjoyed a nice quiet atmosphere with the fire roaring keeping it nice and warm inside. Service was good, a number of specials on the board made food decisions easy. I had the corn fritters while my partner had the beef pie. Both arrived quickly and tasted great. Would happily return if I was in the area again."

"I lived in Armidale in 1980 when the Mun Hing opened, so this was a trip down memory lane. The dowdy exterior and the decor would suggest that we are still in the 80's, but with food this good and at these prices, who cares? It was a quiet Friday night just past, and the occupied tables were heaving with delicious looking food (country town classics) , with a large part going into containers, We ordered the Mongolian Lamb and Szechuan Chicken with some rice both generous portions, with the Mongolian lamb tender and tasty, and the chicken with a nice kick to it. We couldnt finish all the food thank goodness we didnt order entrees! Next time through Armidale, we will definitely visit again."

"This nice little cafe in Armidale town always serves great coffee with a smile and a biscuit. I always visit Era for morning coffees when in Armidale and they always remember my order too! Haven't tried the food yet, but it looks delicious. A must visit."
