"I used to love this place and went several times however I'm not a huge fan anymore. The charcuterie board was a huge win but now instead of crackers they give you bread toasted with butter cut into four squares. I mean give me some crackers, I'm paying enough. I'm not a huge fan how they are always vocalizing their woes on social media. Every business has something going on however they don't feel the need to put it out to the public for sympathy. The menu is ok and tasty but there are other places in Vernon that are better. I think they have hit a lull and need to step it up, as it used to be awesome."

"Been here a few times for breakfast brunch, and it hasn’t disappointed us yet! Quick line, no waiting for a table, and friendly yet efficient service. My fiancé always gets the breakfast poutine and I tend to try something different each time we go. I recently had the Club and it was definitely one of the better I’ve had around. They have the kind of menu that really no matter what you get, it’ll satisfy the diner food craving. My only ‘con’ would be that their drinks (from the fountain) have sometimes taste watered down, but I’ll put that on the machine and not the establishment."

"I drove to Vernon from Vancouver to attend my niece's dance recital. Once it was over we walked around looking for a place to eat and found Phoenix. The decor was beautiful and a little quirky. Our server was great, very pleasant and helpful with the wine list. I had the lamb and it was just as good as anything I have at home."

"Fresh, cool place! Love the vibe and atmosphere. Reminds me of a Kuaia coffee house. Good selection of healthy and 'cheat ' foods. They accommodated my request to alter the recipe a bit. Good portions and kids ate every bite of their waffle and stuffed French toast. Delicious. Servers were friendly and attentive. Kudos to eatology for bringing this forward vibe to Vernon. A great addition would be some Acai bowls during the summer months!"

"We've eaten at the Small Axe a couple of times over the past year and love it. We're both plant-based and there are tons of great, delicious options here. We really enjoy the poutine and tacos. Cocktails are excellent quality too and wine by the bottle is really reasonable. We're cyclists, so after a good ride in the area (which is gorgeous for cycling) we love to pop in here for a bite and some cold drinks. Given it's winter now, we'll be popping in after a cross country ski at nearby Larch Hills for a hot meal and some apres!"
