"It was a Saturday evening and I was wandering around the old town of Portalegre. I was travelling on my own so I was looking for a place where I could feel comfortable. The staff was welcoming and always ready to give recommendations about the food I should try or the wine. I personally had the fried sausage as a starter and the pork fillet with migas as the main course. It was amazing. Trust me, one of the best meals I had in Portugal during my stay. I already tried the migas before coming to Palatus, I didn’t enjoy the texture of this dish so I wasn’t sure about trying it again, but glad I did! The wine selection by glass is very small, but the one I tried (AC Reserva) was the best suited for the dishes I had. "It is a great place to eat, the food is great and the service was pretty good. I can't say it's bad because I'm a vegetarian, I don't have much to eat, but that's not her fault. There's vegetarian sushi, but it's really fast, so I really have to wait a long time. However, this is completely normal as it is not a vegetarian restaurant. I loved the fact that you can get your own ingredients and bring them to a cook that weeps them for you. There was only one thing that felt a bit unhappy. After dinner I paid my meal and a few children (they seemed to be out of the restaurant) eat the food from the buffet with their own hands. I recommend it not-vegetarians tho"
