one of the best restaurants in asheville! really great seasonal menu in a historic building. the service is amazing and eating is top notch. the hummerbisque was the best I ever had. the beef wellington was a unique take on him with two medaillons packed in pastry, and it was delicious. I cannot recommend chestnut very much. read more.

We've been to Chestnut 2 times before and LOVED it! But the menu has changed and it's less-wonderful than it was before. The Chestnut Salad was changed and ordinary (it used the be so great), and our whole fish was blah. Appetiser was good and we might have it again.
