"Food and flavors were delicious -staff was kinda aloof (Hoss was friendly enough) but with a 45-minute waiting for hostess to finish her conversation? Before I could place the order even after mentioning, I had to order as we paid to the parking lot and were hungry at 45 minutes. She made it clear that she would end her conversation by being quite ignored and waiting to order, but that means she took her time with my questions on recommendations, so I think it is part of the corporate culture? and we had a wonderful experience after that when food was great. Desserts, food, teas were all top notch. I was particularly impressed that the desserts are completely free from any cane sugar in any form and instead use data and maple syrup as at home! Hubby is a vegan cook? Very recommended if you? not in a hurry and can overlook the above."

"Lots of vegan options just ask for no egg. They don't use fish sauce in any of their dishes. I usually get a tofu curry or a noodle dish with no egg and tofu! Excellent service, and the people are so sweet."

"Great view of the sunset. Absolutely a beautiful complex... takes up a whole block! Woman owned 2nd oldest brewery in Asheville. You can see the packaging line below when you go to the third floor in the mansion. Lots of space for social distancing. Many fresh air — outside the picnic tables and terrace areas. Award-winning beer. Amazing gluten-free ginger beer (I cannot have wheat) Hard Cider and wines too! Iconic alcohol-free root beer, that's the best I ever had. Cool stone table for young and old. Elevator for those who do not want to climb four flights of the stairs. Close to several parking spaces."

"Picking The Montford for our wedding reception was the best decision we made. We may have chosen it for the sunset views, but we got so much more! Chef Phillip and Bar Manager Paul put together a wonderful menu and signature drink. Our guests were raving! And the entire staff that night was amazing... Fun and friendly. Especially Devon! We can't thank you all enough!!!"

"My second visit here. Loved the food. The shrimp had a happy flavor explosion in mouth. Think that there were supposed to be shrimp in my salad, which the waitress claimed that were minuscule in the dressing . Was tried to upsell twice, which makes it awkward for me."
