"As a local, I’m actually embarrassed to say we’ve never been to sunshine Sammie’s. However, after a brief encounter with Lindsay Suzie, we will be forever customers from now on! Their understanding exceptional empathy must ooze into their customer survive. I could tell they are compassionate and caring of others which makes me want to buy 20 sandwiches a week; and I’m lactose intolerant, so that says a lot! Thank you both! (We made our dinner reservation, by the way celebrated a fantastic anniversary). I’m so glad we have fantastic local business in Asheville!"

"Food and flavors were delicious -staff was kinda aloof (Hoss was friendly enough) but with a 45-minute waiting for hostess to finish her conversation? Before I could place the order even after mentioning, I had to order as we paid to the parking lot and were hungry at 45 minutes. She made it clear that she would end her conversation by being quite ignored and waiting to order, but that means she took her time with my questions on recommendations, so I think it is part of the corporate culture? and we had a wonderful experience after that when food was great. Desserts, food, teas were all top notch. I was particularly impressed that the desserts are completely free from any cane sugar in any form and instead use data and maple syrup as at home! Hubby is a vegan cook? Very recommended if you? not in a hurry and can overlook the above."

"The atmosphere was noteworthy — warm and lively without being crowded, a fire going on the patio, a nice volume level. A wonderful space for a date night or celebration dinner. The service was good — what you’d expect for an establishment of that caliber. The food was, sadly, a serious letdown — we tried 6 dishes and found only 1 of them to be worth ordering again. The mussels were truly spectacular, perfectly done with a flavorful and interesting broth. Unfortunately, everything else disappointed. The radicchio and gnocchi were both very one-note and lacked balance, the pork chop was significantly over-salted, and the chocolate tres leches and beef tartare were mediocre. Not what we expected from the admiral at all, and quite a bummer!"
