We went to casa da vigia upon recommendation of our host at Argonauta. It wad amazingly good.For starter we had house special with bread. It is a variety of spreads and pickled veggies. Very good but nothing mind blowing.As a main we ordered pasta with a taste of sea and a salad. Overpriced bad food. Only one person working providing bad service. Pasta pomodoro had no tomatos. 5€ for a slice of toast with olive oil. Massaman with potatos, carrots and onions. No peanuts. Asked if we wanted the receipt and we said yes. Made us wait >15m. Only let us pay after we said we didn't need it. Comida má muito cara. Só uma pessoa a fornecer mau serviço. 5€ por uma torrada. We visited once and tried to get traditional Portuguese food. It was fine, but nothing special (for example, we both got generic fries with our food). The food was on the table so quickly we wondered how it's possible. The owner served us personally and was welcoming. The price was really affordable, so from that point of view, it was good value for money.
A nice looking little restaurant with a quiet vibe. Inventive starters but very basic vegetarian main course choices and, though obviously made with love, not enough to warrant the prices or a return trip.
We went here twice for dinner as I am a vegetarian but there was nothing special about it. Wine was good but no atmosphere & the vegetarian food was simply OK. I would recommend you negotiate a vegetarian option at Jonah's or Maresia's instead.
The food was good but the salad and starter plates were extremely small and pricey . Over all it seemed to expensive for what we got
