"Pakora was dry, and texture on the outside was like a rock. As if they had been in the deep fryer to long. Definitely the worst pakora I’ve tasted. Butter chicken was average at best, the chicken breast was dry, no love at all put into the food to be honest. Communicated this to them on fb/email and was told that it’s just different regions cook pakora differently etc. well I hope to never come across this regions pakora ever again."

"Affordable fine dining. Customer service was very good, ambience was pleasant. A family owned business apparently. The food tastes good and portions are generous. They are child-friendly and have a kids menu, as well as a sheet with activities to keep the younger children occupied. Would definitely visit again for a special occasion."

"The food has NEVER disappointed. Just a bit miffed that I have to order the platters 3 days in advance, I often just go there on a whim. It's a bit cold inside at times and the loud volume levels make catch-up with friends somewhat challenging, so the experience is somewhat lessened. But otherwise beautiful food, clean premises, efficient staff."

"Ordered our go-to's: Chicken Korma and Chicken Saagwala. Both are greatly worth the price! Delicious curries, both flavourful and just the right kind of kick. Not pictured is the Cheese Naan we ordered retrospectively and it was perfect! Delicious balance of garlic and cheese. The waitress gave us complimentary papadums to start with which were a great snack to start the meal with.<br/>Location is easy to find right along West Coast Road. Parking can be a bit tricky with limited on street parking, but there is plenty behind the restaurant in GlennMall.<br/>Waitress was lovely and easy to deal with. Definitely a place that I will be trying again."

"Today, as we often do when in Pukekohe, we lunched at Ginger. Until today, we have always been delighted with the quality of the food and the value. They do a lunch special of curry of your choice, well presented rice and naan bread. The impact of COVID and of the insane inflationary overspending of our present government have driven up prices for everybody, but Ginger still represented good value. Until today, that is. My wife was not hungry enough for her naan bread, so said we would share just one today. Nothing else was changed. The rip-off artist on the counter charged us full price, not the advertised lunch special rate. I didn't notice until my debit card had been read in. Hey, I said it's 36 dollars, not 41. No, he said, because you didn't take it unchanged, it wasn't the special as advertised. So I have to charge full price for every component. I asked are you saying that taking less of one component (Connie's naan bread) costs five dollars more? Yes, he said, because we have to make it specially. And your transaction is already processed, so I can't change it. He shrugged. We will never go back again. Ginger Restaurant, today lost two formerly loyal customers for ever. "We had a great dining experience here last night. The service was fantastic, our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. The Thai chef made the most authentic Thai Papaya salad that was reminiscent of Bangkok street food, we had to order a second serving. A huge compliment to the chef and staff who were so attentive."
