"I had a garlic naan and the Methi malai paneer that came with a pyramid of rice. I wanted the dish very hot but it was made mild. The food was really tasty though. I would of liked more garlic on the naan even though it was small. I will definitely go back and would recommend this dish."

"I never eat indian out ever but dining here the food was actually really nice different to other indian places was very tasty good pricing and the service was impeccable. Really appreciated and admired the way the staff here worked they were polite humorous and so kind and to be honest alot of indian places you go to you dont always get that myself being indian I really like that. Thank you to the lovely people who served us tonight Yam and Madhu. Such lovely people you guys definitely make dining here a nice experience thank you so much for making our dinner for our mum special "

"Today, as we often do when in Pukekohe, we lunched at Ginger. Until today, we have always been delighted with the quality of the food and the value. They do a lunch special of curry of your choice, well presented rice and naan bread. The impact of COVID and of the insane inflationary overspending of our present government have driven up prices for everybody, but Ginger still represented good value. Until today, that is. My wife was not hungry enough for her naan bread, so said we would share just one today. Nothing else was changed. The rip-off artist on the counter charged us full price, not the advertised lunch special rate. I didn't notice until my debit card had been read in. Hey, I said it's 36 dollars, not 41. No, he said, because you didn't take it unchanged, it wasn't the special as advertised. So I have to charge full price for every component. I asked are you saying that taking less of one component (Connie's naan bread) costs five dollars more? Yes, he said, because we have to make it specially. And your transaction is already processed, so I can't change it. He shrugged. We will never go back again. Ginger Restaurant, today lost two formerly loyal customers for ever. "Went here on a cold rainy night and the atmosphere was amazing. We sat outside (it’s covered) and they had heaters going and blankets. Was so nice and cosy! The food and service was amazing! Warmed us up and we didn’t really want to leave!"
