I'm a 26 year old, white Afrikaans male and I'm not claiming to be an expert in Indian cuisine; but I've been around to places such as The Raj in Sandton, Dosa Hut in Fordsburg, Vikrams in Lonehill and Sitar in Cresta to name a few, and Shahenshah's Butter Chicken is by far the best you'll find in Jo'burg. Don't expect any frills or stellar service. Just go there and eat the Butter Chicken. View all feedback.
The food was ok... I had a mutton bunny chow which was recommended by a friend-Not bad but i have had better. But the service was good... It has an old school indian muslim family vibe to it which i liked alot...
Absolutely one of our favourite take away restaurants. We always have the lamb bunny chow or Plain curry and rice or roti, and are never disappointed. The owner is very friendly. They deliver which is great! Great value for money!

Ordered a variety of take aways: garlic and plain naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and lamb corns curries. Great Tatar and value for money.
Really delicious butter chicken. I ordered extra mild and it was. My husband had the lamb bunny chow also a good choice. Good food and very well priced will definitely eat here again
