"Good bakery items however I have stopped ordering here because I ordered cupcakes for my sister before. Twice now I have called ahead to order my own for my birthday the same exact cupcakes. The first time I was told they don't offer that flavor. The second time, my order was taken for a set time/day, I was quoted a price and when I arrived, to my disappointment the woman told me they had nothing for me. When I asked if she didn't mind taking my order while I was there to have it ready the next day, she acted like it was an inconvenience picking them up for my desired time (SAME TIME OFFERED BEFORE) because it was the same time the decorator arrives. All I wanted was some lousy sprinkles. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It takes two minutes out of your day to help a team member or AT LEAST OFFER. Especially when my experiences here have been the way they are. She then let me know once I told her my desired flavor that they don't offer this.1) Why was my order taken and quoted if they knew what flavor I wanted and they knew they could not do it?2) Why couldn't someone call to let me know it was not going to be ready due to the flavor?3) I find this extremely unprofessional for any business and will not be recommending anyone I know here. It's a sad shame."

"Jake's is one of those spots that I can't help but love. It has that quaint neighborhood bar feel but with a kitchen that also makes some good food. On this visit (first time back in a couple of years) I had a really good blackened walleye (yes folks, walleye can be eaten without being breaded and fried). It was served with my choice of potatoes (I went with the yummy red skin variety) and green beans. The portions were generous and priced right. The brussel sprout appetizer was also very good. When we arrived they warned us that they were short handed, but you would have never known. We had great service and didn't have to wait long for anything. I am so glad we drove an hour for dinner this particular evening."
