"We were in the pokie area and honestly the the security is useless. Over the past3 or 4 weeks we have been to Craigs it seems the staff are quite happy to allow some element of society to come in ,act loud and use offensive language. This is not what we expect from this beautiful building and all its hype, sure other pokie venues are like it ,but not at Craig's .So disappointed that we cannot go out nowadays without seeing and hearing this unacceptable behaviour. The security at Craigs is only good for telling old men off ,they do nothing when it comes to a real problem"

"Quaint cafe in the CBD of Ballarat, not a huge menu but I like the roast spuds. Cafe has a certain ambience for either a meal, coffee and cake or snacks. The two ladies working when I last went for dinner, were very friendly and welcoming. Spud was well presented and totally delicious. Coffee to finish was beautiful. All in all, food , service, comfort and ambience are all top class. Will be on my regular visiting list."

"We just keep going back because the burgers are so good. We have been a few times since the last review with friends and just the two of us. Not once has there been a burger I could say wasn't as good as the last one, I keep saying I think this one was actually better than the last one, guess I just love em. My only disappointment is that I cannot sit out on the street on a nice day and have a burger as the smokers ruin it. Our last visit was on the Buskers competition day and it would have been so great to sit outside on a perfect day and hear the performances. It also makes it difficult to walk in the door smelling the smoke and even worse when you leave and walk out and get that as your first smell. Love the burgers, the service and the location just wish I could sit outside and enjoy the ambience as well. From the 01st August 2017 I will be able to have that freedom and enjoyment as well I look forward to that."

"Decided to have noodle box for evening meal as part of birthday celebration. Whilst tasty, I’ve never experienced such a dry noodle meal (the hit and spicy). It was so dry there was no sauce residue in the box. Needed a drink to wash it down."

"We visited Carbonis for our first wedding anniversary. We were made to feel very special as soon as we walked through the door. We had an anniversary card on our table, complimentary glass of Prosecco offered and even a Polaroid picture taken to take home!...The food was spectacular as always and our waitress was amazing. We will be back for our anniversaries for years to come "

"Friendly staff and our family with young children felt very welcome. the immediately served eating was delicious and everyone enjoyed their pasta main and dessert. the seafood marinara was filled with seafood...amazing! the house made chicken bugs were also a hit with our 4 years old. a great culinary experience, with the open fire a bonus!"
