"We heartily recommend this excellent osteria, with terrific food and drink and very pleasant service. The food is good robust Tuscan fare with Florentine steak, beef stew, steak with radiccio, pici/papardelle with wild boar sauce etc. Good puddings, including crema catalana. All the wine is good and the house red is good quality. Views and location splendid. Prices reasaonable for what you get. We ate here as a family five times in the 3 weeks we were here. We'll be back."

"This restaurant has a nice terrace with a great view over the Chianti area (see photo) The menu has many nice dishes to offer from starters to desserts, also the staff is really nice. They also have a great selection of good wines. We had a great night out and can definitely recommend the steak tartare (primi) and the steak (secondi). Also the deserts were delicious! Make reservations as it can be busy."

"Great value for money In connection with our holiday stay at the Hotel Sovestro near San Gimignano, we used restaurant Da Pode, which is part hotel and a restaurant. It was a fantastic experience. We ended up eating there several times. We tried several different dishes. They were all super prepared and tasty. In addition to this, the staff were top notch. Really good service, listened to our wishes, etc. There is also the possibility to drink the place 's own wines with the food It was really a good experience. Beautiful wines (and Grappa), there were both traditional and new wines on the menu. Perfect for the food. The restaurant is in the Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking. It serves delicious Tuscan cuisine. Thank you for some wonderful evenings in the Tuscan sunset, with wonderful food, service and wine."
