This place is wonderful if you're not vegetarian. The atmosphere and service is excellent, however this is not the place to go if you're a vegetarian. A couple of the courses tasted pretty much the same ... veggies with a curry spice or sauce, and...overall I thought the vegetarian menu was lazy and uninspired. Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl from Basel is a good place for a bar to a cocktail after work and be able to hang out with friends, there are also fine vegetarian recipes on the menu. "This place is great for both pizza and focaccia sandwiches. Very fresh ingredients, imaginative toppings, and nice people. There are only a couple of tables so I avoid the lunch crunch and many people do take away. This is one of my favorite places for...lunch in Basel. "That the little eck is still not in the trip advisor, I am very surprised. since I have been working in schopfheim (it is now 16 years), I eat here at least two times a week for lunch. the kitchen is badly shaped, rich in calories and good. the food is really worth its price, you will always be fed with the plentiful portions.
