We booked a table in advance for dinner on a night they had a jazz band. The place is quite small so I do recommend to make a reservation if there’s an event. The Sperber is a traditional style restaurant attached to Hotel Basel with main entrance onto Spalenberg in old town Basel. I was there for a meal with friends. Service was efficient and friendly. For eating the menu had a prosecco cream soup with mushrooms which was fine.
