Sadly, the food has changed drastically! We used to really love this place. I'm not sure what's changed in the kitchen. We visited on a Saturday evening roughly 8:30. The pizza was burnt on the bottom, took maybe 3 bites of that. The burger we ordered medium, it came out medium well, and zero seasoning. The pork belly bun-bun was so disappointing! If you're in Beaufort and don't leave, it's your fault. Make a reservation early. The fatuccine with pancetta is with a lemon toe that slaps your tongue out your brain. The owner, bartender, server and above all the chefs make this joint jump. Don't hit it to OBT as soon as you can. Have fun.
Food was excellent as was the service. There was one problem. I made a reservation for ten a week in advance. The table we got was next to the bar near the entrance, very loud. We were informed that a more private table would be available within twenty minutes. We were then told the party at the more secluded table would not move. This detracted from an otherwise pleasant evening. Five star service, five star food, two stars for the table location.
Easily my favorite place in Beaufort to eat and enjoy time with friends and family! Great atmosphere, delicious food with different dish sizes (including some wonderful French-influenced meals), smaller but very solid beer bottle/tap list, and just excellent all around. Have been coming for a few years and plan to continue!
Great atmosphere, staff very accommodating and the food is great.
It's like a step back in time. It's a kind of speakeasy feel with great bartenders, drinks, and food to top it all off with. We closed it down a few times, as you just get lost in the atmosphere and conversations with servers. Highly recommend. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
