We chose this restaurant purely because it was close to the hotel, expecting it just to be average We were pleasantly surprised.Really good menu plenty of choice, good value set menu with a lovely tapas bar starter.House wine excellent and not over priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for money. View all feedback.
What mrptoo doesn't like about Cote Grill:
Although my hamburger was quite good the “frites” were poor in the extreme- soggy and almost cold. My wife’s chicken was raw and a prime case for salmonella. She complained and had it replaced. This time it was partly cooked. On complaining again the waitress offered a free glass of wine which was at least a nice gesture. However I would not recommend this place as the cook is clearly not a good one. View all feedback.
Had to ask for a change of my Entrecôte which was not at all at the level of one is expecting a nice tender peace of meet. Unfortunately the replacement meet wasn’t even better..! French Fries to big and not “alumette-like”. Can’t recommend this place..
We came here for lunch one day. This was the day that I found out when ever you tell them how you want it cooked always go up one. If you like medium rare then you need to order medium and it will come out medium rare. The place was nice and food was great. My only complaint was that it takes forever. We could never go back here for lunch again. I think we were in there for almost 2 hours. So would I go back again? No probably not. It wasn't over the top for the amount of time you need to spend in here and the prices are a little high.
Seen mixed reviews on this place, actually didn 't check any reviews before eating here. We tried this place on our north leg of our stop over (on the south leg we tried the Buffalo Grill in the small complex across the road and that was atrocious). We were staying at the Novotel so just a short stroll. Quite surprised by this place, ordered the curry cocotte (or something like that), basically a grilled chicken burger in what was described as a curry roll. Wow what a taste, never had anything like this before, a nice strong curry flavour in the bread roll. Just lacking some type of sauce in the burger as it was a bit dry in texture, just added some mayo. The fries were also very good, not soggy or oily and not overly crispy, just right, tasted like they had been cooked 2 or 3 ways. Nice salad to start with too. It wasn 't very busy and we got served quick enough. The sign on the front says 'Under New Management ' so not sure if some of the mixed reviews are something to do with that. Overall our experience was good but as I say it wasn 't very busy.
Arrived at 7.20pm waiter chef were having a cig in the car park. Once inside we ordered entrecôte, fries sauce with a bottle of Provence rose. Wine was delicious, steak was fatty fries were frozen thick steakhouse chips, not what I expected when ordering French frites. Service was unimpressive I wouldn’t return.
The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel and could not have been more welcoming. The burger was amazing and the steak very tasty. Our French isn’t great (which is a bit embarrassing) but they spoke enough English to get by. Highly recommend
