"Simply Beechworth. Just across from the bakery is the cutest little providore stocked full of local produce and other delicious foodstuffs. I stopped there for lunch and shared the most delcious locally made steak and red wine pie I've ever tasted. My partner's smoked chicken toasted sandwich was equally delicious. Local's popped in and out the whole time to grab a coffee and we were all served with very friendly banter from the wonderful family who own the place. Of course we couldn't leave without buying some blueberry sauce from the huge array of condiments on offer and a slice of baklava from the selection of cakes and slices, both were amazing."

"Went with some friends for said friend's birthday dinner, the dinner was really really good, the server was very nice and jovial, but my fiancee had the super green pasta dish and a little leech-grub like thing wriggled out of her food. "A local gave glowing reports of The Plough Inn and I now I know why. What a surprise package! The food is to die for 5 star, but with prices to match...it's a country pub miles from the tourist destinations, so I wonder if it is too overpriced..? Great play area in the beer garden for the kids, and brazen wandering chooks top off the experience. Definitely worth a visit on your way to the snow fields, but expect $40 $50 per head"
