"It is Sunday morning, the weather report has predicted temperatures up to 38 degrees. So first in the morning on a small tour to the Altmühltal. On the way back we returned to Gasthof Krone in Kinding because we remembered it. The dark red building on the marketplace makes an inviting impression on the outside. Before the economy are some massive wooden tables and benches, complemented by newer beer garden tables and folding chairs of the brewery. Large parasols donate shade. Vis a vis near the old Jura house, the crown has a beautiful small beer garden. We took place before the economy. Since no one else should see, I told you inside. It should take ten minutes to get an operation and pick up the drinks. The honourable Member has forgotten to execute him. The menu offers the usual dishes of German and Bavarian cuisine. But there are only 10 hot dishes from noon and 30 degrees hot. A breadboard (9,00 euros) was enough for both of us today. Raw and cooked ham, peasant sausage, cheese, butter, cucumber, tomatoes, raw onion rings. In the basket three different types of bread, very tasty and fresh. An evaluation is, of course, shorter when you sit outside and make only a small bread time. Conclusion: A return is recommended."

The food was not only very tasty but also great selection and especially something for everyone. If you are not satisfied here, you can never be satisfied. "We arrived without a reservation but got a table for an hour - if we are fast enough. I told them that it depends on their cooking speed but we should be OK so we got the table. Then we waited... at some point we got the menu and ordered. The food arrived quite fast with the drinks but without any friendly service. The food was OK but NOTHING special: Pizza Calzone: basic, nothing special. Lasagne: boring standard, at least sizzling hot. The salad was OK but very little of everything (olives, eggs, artichokes, ... ), fresh with some standard dressing. The risotto was a disappointment, plain taste with long grain rice and not what it should be Arborio or similar. After we finished we again waited for the service as we wanted some dessert. After we complained the waitress got to us and, gratefully, accepted our order for Tiramisu.... which we should have skipped and straight away left the place. The Tiramisu was sponge cake with whipped cream and some coca over it. Really bad!!!We weren't really finished with the Tiramisu when we were removed from our tables as the next were arriving... as I said, we could have easily made it hadn't it been for their speed.Our neighbor's table (some local glider club president) got full speed service and entertainment from two of the staff (or even the owners) so the conclusion for us is:food is mediocre, service is only OK if you are a local celebrity so only go there if you are a local celebrity. We won't come back - although the interior is quite nice."
