"Located on the shoreline next to Prim Point lighthouse. We were a family group of 5 adults 4 children 12 to 7 years. Booked online 1 month ahead which is the soonest allowed. I received a call shortly after booking to see if picnic table area was acceptable for our group of 9. The restaurant texted to make sure we were still coming several days ahead. I confirmed but thought I better check in person on the day we had arranged. I was told by the owner Paul that everything was in order. While visiting sights in the nearby area about 15 minutes later, Paul called to tell me my reservation got cancelled. I wasn't too happy went to see him to discuss it face to face. We were able to work things out. This put a big damper on the experience. Food service were OK. Staff were pleasant. Server knocked over the water glasses when placing them on the picnic table we got a bit wet. She did apologize we were very kind to her. Par for the course that day, I guess. I'm happy that they eventually accommodated my large family group. The kids liked exploring on the water front. They need to improve their booking system. Bottom line, if you're visiting the lighthouse, book ahead try it out. If you're just going to the restaurant, it may be a bit of a gamble."

"Phinley 's is a charming family style restaurant with ample parking, in Stratford, that is popular with locals and visitors alike. As someone with Celiac disease I greatly appreciate that they have so many gluten-free options. This visit I tried their hand-breaded gluten-free chicken burger with fries and gluten-free gravy. The fries were hot and crispy and the gravy had good flavor. The chicken burger was moist and juicy with great flavor. Greatly enjoyed my entire meal. The dining area is nice (a little dusty, in places) and feels a bit 'tight '. My server was efficient got my order correct and check a couple of times to make sure I had everything though her demeanor was less than friendly/welcoming as I felt like a bit of an inconvenience to her. However, if still go back as the quality of their gluten-free offerings are great!"

"Found by chance on our way to Cavendish. Ate there twice, would have been 3x but closed for Canada Day. Too bad for us! Outstanding service. Delicious chowder. Scallops and haddock cooked to perfection. And if you are not in a seafood mood, try the...Shanty Fries, sorta tastes like Shepards pie, but better. Great selection of local beer. When asked by our lovely server if we 'd like anything else, I said Yes, the carrot cake and Shanty fries recipe. She just smiled."
