What a great Indian find in Bernkastel no less! We had lunch on the weekend (too bad we missed their weekday lunch specials) of lamb vindaloo, chicken...

Some of the best Indian food in Germany. The owners are so nice and the prices are reasonable. Definitely visit this place if you're near Bernkastle.

"We were the first time in Sonnora on Friday and certainly not the last time. From welcome, to service, to the adoption everything was super warm and perfect! But what it is about in Sonnora is the kitchen and that was their 3 stars absolutely worth. My personal highlight was the carrot from beef tartar with caviar, that was Champions League! "We hiked up into the hills from Bernkastel and were aiming for the waterfall...but decided to keep going to the burg, not knowing it was the same castle ruins that loom beautifully over the city. It was a pleasant surprise. Even better was that you could enter the ruins for free (you can climb up the tower for 1 Euro and sit in the courtyard and enjoy some local wine and food. It was a bit breezy when we went, but the experience was worthwhile : We enjoyed 4 different kinds of wine and a Rösti (potato pancake with mozzarella and tomatoes. Amazing views out over the Mosel and over Bernkastel-Kues."

"Fantastic Indian Food in the old center of Bernkastel. We went for lunch on Saturday, no reservations, we were a group of 4 and able to enjoy a great meal. The staff are all friendly, the service was great. You get papadam, sauces, rice and naan with your meal. The prices are very fair. Highly recommend! Parking is across the road in the big lot."
