"2nd meal in this very nice little restaurant and once again, we have enjoyed it. You don't have to be in a hurry, you have to take advantage. The boss does everything: home, service, kitchen, cash, so if you're in a hurry, it won't do it. we settle on the floor on cushions, we order, we wait comfortably and we eat at the coffee tables (possibility of normal tables on the ground floor). The boss is very kind, very smiling, he prepares for the request, we see him cut the vegetables when we go back to the restaurants. So it's fresh, it's tasteful, good quantity and very good price. and when he serves us, he presents each dish. He doesn't sell wine but you can bring your bottle, the chef will open it to you. The place is unpleasant, the music is good and the food is even better! We'll go back with pleasure!"

"It amazes me that L'Ambassade has not regained its Michelin star. Last year I ate in Giles Goujan's Auberge du Vieux Puits. It was good, very good, but L'Ambassade is in many respects just as good for one-sixth of the price. Patrick Olry is a creative, stylish and, most of all, discerning chef who produces excellent well-balanced dishes. We had the L'Approche menu at 30 euro. I do not know how he can produce such a meal at such a price. I had the red mullet and cod starter with artichoke -- superb, as was my partner's tuna. My swordfish was supreme: it tasted as if it had been caught that morning. My partner's veal was equally good. The deserts were delicious: a roasted apricot for her and a delicious fabricated cherry for me. The cheese trolley is one of the best I have ever come across. The wine list is extensive and the somellier very helpful and knowledgeable. There are other good restaurants in the area, including the Auberge du Vieux Puits to which foodies from all over make their pilgrimage. But L'Ambassade is so much better value."

"Nous sommes allés y manger, ma femme et mon fils, et la nourriture était très bonne, fraîche, fine !... C'était la deuxième fois que nous venions. Le service est irréprochable, la cadre sympathique, calme.Seulement, nous avons trouvé les quantités trop restreintes (nous ne sommes pourtant pas de gros mangeurs...). Même notre fils de 8 ans a été marqué par la taille des 2 ou 3 morceaux de fromage, qu'il avait choisi dans son menu ! Son morceau de viande était lui aussi bien menu, et malheureusement accompagné uniquement de frites maisons (par ailleurs excellentes). Quelques légumes, comme ceux qui accompagnaient notre plat, lui auraient aussi plu... (d'autant que l'on a demandé si il y avait des légumes en accompagnement...mais on nous a répondu que non. Nous en proposer aurait été un geste apprécié et peu couteux...)Si bien que rapporté au coût, ce restaurant nous semble finalement bien cher (95€ pour 2 entrée / plat + un menu enfant, une bouteille de vin et une boisson).Nous avions beaucoup apprécié la première fois, et voulions faire découvrir la qualité de ce lieu à notre fils. Nous en sortons déçus..."
