"We visited here more than once. There is so much to choose from and the coffee is really good. The staff are all welcoming and friendly, even early in the morning. There are plenty of options to sit down and eat or even more to...easily take away for snacks later in the day."

"Oh dear. I've fallen into the classic tourist trap. In a town like Bicheno with lots of accomodation but only one or two dinner options, I picked Pasini. However, the next night, after having dined at The Bay restaurant in nearby Freycinet, I regretted my meal in Pasini very much. $35 got me a main course of lamb shoulder, with some mash and garden salad. The lamb shoulder was really dry and tough. The mash and garden salad were OK. My wife had the pork cutlet $30), which was a single pork cutlet. This was at least cooked well juicy and still tender. The kitchen was overwhelmed when we were there there was a 45 minute wait from ordering to getting our dishes. The kick in the balls? Next night's dinner at The Bay Restaurant, where we got white table cloth dining, with amazing views of the sea, much better food, excellent table service, and for the same price."

"Really good fish and chips. The fish was fresh, they only offer what has been caught. The calamari was a definite win. The abalone was not so great but I think that may just be abalone. They are cash only. We ordered $7 of chips for 5 people and it was the right amount."

"Had a delicious lunch here for my daughters birthday. Absolutely delicious and so were the deserts. They made a beautiful card for our table and finished it off with a happy birthday written in chocolate around her desert"

"There are not that many great restaurants in Bicheno. The Sealife Centre on the Bay is an exception. My wife and I enjoyed a good meal there with an excellent view. It is to be recommended."

"We dined here for lunch while tooling around Tasmania on a four night driving trip, late December 2019. The views of the water and the nearby beach are stunning. The restaurant feels very casual and relaxed, but the food that we sampled is very good. TBH we didn 't really order that much off their menu, but here 's what we ate: We ordered a dozen oysters they were well priced at $2.50 per oyster well, it was cheaper for a dozen whereas we 'd paid $4.50 per oyster in Hobart ouch! Oysters were local from somewhere near Freycinet if I recall correctly which is fairly close to Bicheno anyway. The oysters were absolutely superb! Extremely fresh, not too briny, small though slightly bigger than Sydney Rock Oysters I don 't like the big meaty varieties , really delicious and so creamy! We were blown away by their quality. I remarked to our server owner manager ? how wonderful they tasted and she replied It 's because we shuck them to order, meaning, not in advance... Lovely! I have to mention the outstanding bottle of wine we enjoyed with the oysters Freycinet Wineglass Sauvignon Blanc 2017 I think? also local, and one of the most delightful Sauv Blancs I have ever tasted! No joke. And we were in NZ prior to Tassie...! So, the pairing of this crisp, very fruity and fragrant wine with the fresh oysters was truly sublime. We weren 't actually that hungry so we asked if the kitchen could put together a large garden salad for the two of us to share, which they happily did, and it was lovely and light with grated carrot, sliced cucumbers tomatoes, plus lettuce natch and a nice vinaigrette dressing. I forget what they charged us for that, but it definitely was reasonably priced. Such a simple and casual meal, yet so memorable. Truly one of the highlights of our trip around Tassie which included a very posh NYE degustation dinner at Peppers Cradle Mtn Lodge review to follow so that 's saying something! Highly recommended for a pleasant lunch so you can enjoy the vista. Sunset would be a nice experience here, too."
