We stopped here during a recent visit to Bilbao and were pleasantly surprised by the meal of the day. All courses were fresh, nice size and well prepared. Service was friendly, with an invite to come back at night when there would be music. View all feedback.
What Antoni P doesn't like about Ametza:
We had a 15€ lunch menu on a sunday, what is quite a good price. Unfortunately, the food quality was not what we expected. I had squid cooked in their own ink and got three tiny squid tubes with a small portion of rice. My colleague ordered cod (national basque fish) al pil pil and vizcaina and the sauces of both of them were pretty bad done. At least the service was nice and friendly. Went here for lunch and had the menú. The food was pretty good with a patient staff who was willing to work with our poor Spanish. Very good seafood
