Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews from diners. One customer was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, citing burnt parsnips, hard beef, and an unappetizing veggie dish. Another described the food as average and not worth the price, and mentioned that the prawn and mango cocktail was poorly presented. On the other hand, other customers praised the restaurant for its beautiful location, attentive staff, and delicious food. Despite some flaws, the restaurant seems to have potential and may be worth a visit for those looking for a cozy atmosphere and good service.
Very disappointed with Menu, why no Gammon and Eggs boiled ham and eggs no thanks) no sausages and mash to name a few. Been going to Cow and Calf ILKLEY for over 15 since the place first opened but my visits are getting less and less over disappointed menus.
Lovely place, but our request when booking, for a table with a view of the countryside for our friendsm was not fulfilled. Unfortunately the weather became too cool to enjoy a drink on the patio outside, and there seemed to be no patio heaters, as at some venues. However, enjoyed the meal tremendously, and would book again.
Very friendly and efficient service despite it being Mothers Day when they were obviously very busy.
Really enjoyed our lunchtime visit. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were just right.
Receptionist Couldn’t fine our Open Table booking, but they had plenty of tables available so not a problem, but might have been had they been busy. We chose the Sunday roast beef. Cabbage was a little on the cool side. Beef was quite fatty and fairly tough, considering that it was 28 day aged. Roast potatoes were very good, as were the parsnips and carrots Soft drinks expensive small lemonade and lime £2.45) Overall value fair.
