After spending a few hours wandering around the Millarville Fair we decided to hop over to Turner Valley for a lunch at the Chuckwagon Cafe.

This is probably the best place for breakfast in Turner Valley.

So much yes._I stayed in Calgary for a weekend with my hubs for our anniversary.

Great coffee stop. True espresso coffee made by someone who knew what they were doing. Will stop again on my way back to Calgary.

It's a great small town stop. Has that rustic feel and great food! Definitely a stop you should make while travelling through Black Diamond.

"Busy place. Excellent pho broth is very tasty. We moved from Okotoks to Calgary but still go back. Their pork spring rolls are the best crispy and densely wrapped and flavour of filling is Delish. We always get a double order! Subs are very good too!"

"Saw an absolutely despicable form of discrimination this morning at this Denny 's in Okotoks. Young woman with her two children (one boy, one girl) came in at around 9:30 AM for breakfast. The children looked so happy to be out for a meal and I 'm...certain the mother was happy to take a break from cooking and dishes. A couple of minutes after they arrived what appeared to be the owner came up to the front counter and told them they needed to put on a mask or they could order to go but he would seat them without a mask. Immediately she said, We are exempt . That should have been the end of it but instead what appeared to be the owner (who is Indian) said That doesn 't matter. We cannot serve you unless you put a mask on. If I hadn 't been so close to finishing my own breakfast I would have gotten up and immediately walked out. Instead all the young mother said was unreal and turned around and left. I have never in my life witnessed such a disgusting abuse of power by a restaurant that should be welcoming customers with open arms at this time rather than turning them away. As such I for one will be boycotting this and every other Denny 's for the foreseeable future. You make your own choice on whether you want to continue supporting this type of discrimination and open abuse of freedoms."
