Visited on New Year's Day. Our first food selections were unavailable as, due to the holiday, they had ran out of Steaks and Cod. We changed to Triple Hunters Chicken and Scampi and Chips. Both were excellent and very large, especially the Hunters Chicken. View all feedback.
What WALKERS D doesn't like about The Brasshouse:
Visited here for evening meal before going to the pavilion theatre. Wish we hadn't. A very large pub...... Loud football playing on t.v or loud music. Had a meal, should have sent it back, gammon pineapple over burnt sorry chargrilled Chips triple microwave........ Won't ever go there again. View all feedback.
Nice lively pub. personal friendly eating well. I didn't appreciate the feminine staff that brought us my food. she had nails, what she treated my order, touched the teller near my food. as we are still in the middle of covid, I was shocked and disappointed. my man works in catering. he wasn't impressed either. I think the manager of the pubs should insist that workers who treat ordering food. should not have excessive nails like these. it's not nice. I'm not a producer. but that was unhygienic.
I have seen this place during in bournemouth over the weekend, I was not in bournemouth since vegan and my partner and I were solid where to go with vegan options. he loves pizzas so we let go of this place! beautiful environment, beautiful personal and delicious pizzas.
Love the pizzas here- they definitely don't hold back on the toppings and even the gluten-free options taste great. as others mentioned, the service can be somewhat slow.
After being to other Stable branches in the South West, our local Stable has remained a disappointment unfortunately. Our visits have declined based on the quality of food and standard of service. We opt for the vegan and gluten free choices and they do have a great variety of choices. However, I am not sure what ingredients specifically cause a problem, but we always walk away as a family with an unpleasant feeling in our stomachs. I think it maybe the vegan cheese, but we cannot be sure. Other vegan pizza's from other restaurants don't present this as a problem so it's unique to The Stable in our personal experience. Their vegan mozzarella is not the nicest tasting either to be honest. This Stable, as the others we have visited nail the cider, without a doubt it's the best place for a great range of quality ciders, hands down. Service is a problem in our experience and other people we have spoken with agree they have had similar experiences. Regardless of how busy The Stable is, they seem to be very distracted and we always get the impression they are trying to avoid us as customers. We always feel uncomfortable trying to get the staffs attention and it feels like we're actually an inconvenience to them. I have been in a few times for a quick pint and simply walked out again after staff looked at me without acknowledgement and then walked off. However, when you eventually do get the full attention of the staff they are very friendly and polite. So, it's a confusing and perplexing situation. But after so many visits, this is consistent and becomes too much of a unpleasant experience to want to expose ourselves to again.
Great vegan Menu and they prepared a full vegan buffet for my 30th birthday party! Both vegans and non-vegans alike were highly impressed! Fantastic staff too
