My two favourite places to eat in Bowen are Duke of India and Birds Fish Bar. Love it!

"This shop is awesome, in all areas. Very well with the visit for got n cold foods, sit down available, inside n out. Cold drinks, fiz in milks. Friendly staff, personally been visiting this shop over the past 10 yrs. Follow the signs it leads U to the shop, n CBD so hand y to other shops also. Plenty of parking, plus vans on the tow. Won't disappoint ."

"Nothing flash about the shop however there's 2 tables outside, none inside, we took our fish and chips down to the main beach and used the tables there. Tasty fish and thick cut chips and the price is right"

"Please train them all the workers as they cook seafood properly. we have ordered here 3 times over the last 12mths and each time when the fish and chips were cooked 'ok ' (if this time the fish and chips were very dark, dry and oversalted to the point that the chips were not possible). but what is more disappointing is to see and taste that all the other beautified king prawns, scallops, calamari and bow tails were well and really overcooked and ruined. Unfortunately, at $70 a visit, this makes for a very unpleasant experience that we probably won't try a 4th time."
