Very pretty museum shop, very welcoming staff, available and smiling, even 5 minutes from closing. Delicious chocolates of course, otherwise why make the detour...

"We could use bcp of praiseworthy superlatives, so much our dinner was memorable, even if the chef wasn't there, the kitchen remains at the same level, so it's the chef Baptiste ingrouf who comes to take your order and answer if necessary to your questions, we found it very courteous, as the restaurant practice to make the dishes served by the cooks themselves is an excellent idea. Tonight we tasted, from the black bass, from the ass being fisherman I enjoyed the work on these fishes) of the lamb and a pear-based dessert, everything was high-fly, decorated with wines with very good glass, the sommelier advised us perfectly. "Assa has a wonderful view on the river Loire but the view is not the most important part of your experience in Assa.We were a couple with a kid and went for the 5 courses menu, with for our 6 years old kid, a simple course with dessert. I won't describe what we ate as the menu is surprise. If you are concerned about the surprise, the waiter gives you a paper with the menu description. You can have a look at it before ordering or let the surprise catch you.Flavours were numerous, surprising and mainly delicious.Service was attentive but discrete and professional.The chef presents at least one course to each table.Compared to one star restaurants we have in Belgium, the value for the quality was very fair. We ended up with a 248 euros bills for two 5 courses menu, one meal and dessert four our daughter, juice, water and a bottle of wine.We will definitively go to Assa again if we go back to Blois!"
